The grinder sparks produced by steel materials vary significantly and subtly depending on the carbon content or other alloying elements in the material.
This set of standard spark test samples includes representative specimens of 45 types of JIS steel, classified into three groups. It is useful for identifying the steel types of unknown samples and for educational purposes.
